Intellectual Property

The intellectual property group acts for Yaacov Salomon, Lipschutz & Co.'s clients to bring them maximum value from their intellectual property in complex transactions and to protect their IP with hard-hitting litigation skills.

The group uses its negotiating savvy and extensive knowledge of the ins-and-outs of IP transactions in development, licensing, distribution, OEM, franchise, technology transfer and other transactions.

The group's litigators have set precedents with regard to IP protection of fonts and employee-inventors' rights to compensation.   They specialize in complex, high-value cases involving trademark infringements, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriations, and commercial tort matters and regularly appear before all court instances, the Registrar of Patents, Design Patents and Trademarks and the Committee for Compensation and Royalties.

The group regularly advises the firm's clients on matters concerning information technology, database registrations (under the Privacy Protection Act) and more. The group's hands-on experience with ‘traditional’ IP allows it to represent both individuals and public institutions in transactions involving books, films, live performances and different types of recordings. The group handles trademark registration requests both in Israel and abroad, whether through the Madrid Protocol or in cooperation with leading firms abroad.

Narda Ben Zvi leads the group's practice.  She is widely regarded as one of Israel’s foremost intellectual property attorneys. She is ranked in the prestigious international Chambers & Partners guide and described as an “excellent attorney who is very wise, knowledgeable, and a first-class litigator.”
