The Intellectual Property department at Salomon Lipschutz is one of the pacesetters in Intellectual Property, regularly sought out for the professionalism, comprehensive practice and added value of its members, provided to a large roster of clients.
The team’s day to day work combines complex and complicated litigation cases together with ongoing and comprehensive accompaniment of various technological transactions in the Intellectual Property field. The team handles a wide range of transactions, license agreements, software agreements, development and franchising agreements relating to commercialization of intellectual property, information technologies, database registration in compliance with Protection of Privacy Law, domain names, and other matters, as required and requested by our clients.
Furthermore, the department is known for its unique expertise and achievements in handling complex litigations related to trademark infringement, copyrights, misappropriation, passing-off matters and other commercial wrongs. The team regularly appears before all Israeli courts including the Supreme Court, the Registrar of Patents, Designs and Trademarks and the Compensation and Royalties Committee established under the Patents Law.
The department holds extensive knowledge and experience in handling ‘Traditional’ Intellectual property (including books, films, live performances and recordings) and regularly advises cultural institutions and non-profit organizations on these matters.
The department also handles the filing of trademark applications both in Israel and worldwide, through the Madrid Protocol or in cooperation with leading overseas offices, as well as in the management of their examination and registration processes.
